Joomag Engineering department consists of Infrastructure, Core Platform, Web Development, and Mobile development teams. The Mobile Development team’s main responsibility is to design and build Joomag’s native iOS and Android apps. Our mobile engineers also work on custom apps for world-renowned partners such as Huffington Post, Levi's, Elle, and more.
We welcome talented Senior iOS Developers to collaborate in the scope outsource, remote conditions. The joining person will contribute to all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initiation, through to developing, testing, launching, and leading.
Requirements
Primary Objectives:
1. The first objective is to build and improve Joomag’s native iOS apps following a detailed Mobile App Development Lifecycle stages of planning and research, prototyping, assessment of technical feasibility, designing and building, testing, and launching. Thus besides writing reusable and reliable code, the ability to make app-specific consultancy, translate business needs into technical requirements, and manage production releases in the App Store are primary goals.
2. Team playing and collaboration skills also matter
You will actively co-work with Mobile Team Lead amp; other Engineering team members on-demand to ship new features, as well as adjust their work to maximize overall development efficiency. This requires the ability and desire to create more than a beautiful code base and act as a team player to especially deciding on what and which way we build something.
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in iOS development
- In-depth development experience at the application and user interface level with Cocoa/ Cocoa Touch
- Experience with Objective-C and Swift
- Strong knowledge and clear understanding of OOP and Design Patterns
- Experience with CPU/ memory profiling
- Experience with Asynchronous programming
- Proficiency in working with JIRA, Confluence
- Strong understanding and experience of Git and Git workflow
- Fluency in technical written English.
Hiring stages
Panel interview (HR + Tech)
The first stage of the hiring process. The HR portion will include our Human Resources Lead - Ani Meruzhan Margaryan. She will introduce the company, some details about the position, and review your professional experience. The technical portion of this interview will feature our Mobile Team Lead - Vahram Shamtsyan. He will share more insights about the job and iOS development. Technical, knowledge-based questions will also be asked.
Task
The second stage of our hiring process includes a small technical task. You will be asked to solve a job-relevant technical problem within a deadline of 3-4 days. For you, this is a great opportunity to showcase your knowledge amp; experience. For us, it's an excellent opportunity to assess your professional skills from an objective standpoint. A task review session with our Mobile Team Lead may follow.
Team interview
The last stage of the hiring process. It consists of a meeting that will take place in a friendly amp; cozy environment. You will meet several Joomagers and have an informal discussion about your likes, dislikes, values, approaches, hobbies, and more. This is a good chance to ask any questions about your potential employment and Joomag.
